- Who rescued her grandson from a sect in the Ulyanovsk region described the conditions of his detention
The grandmother of a boy recruited by the totalitarian sect "Russian Orthodox Church — Tsarist Empire", which included his mother, was able to rescue her grandson from the settlement of the community in the Ulyanovsk region thanks to the plot of Izvestia. On February 13, the woman said that the boy returned home withdrawn and unwell, but now he has managed to adapt to a normal life.
"When we were buying clothes for school, he said: "Why should I be beautiful? Am I going to study for my uncle?" He had very low hemoglobin, couldn't run or walk fast, had shortness of breath, and had an arrhythmia. Now the child is normal and cheerful. He lives like ordinary children — skiing, skating. She loves to take part in various contests," the pensioner shared.
It is noted that the child was taken to the sectarian community by his mother. During the search, law enforcement officers repeatedly raided their settlement. It later turned out that at such moments the boy was hidden in a shed or a dugout — he was sitting under the bed with all his belongings.
"He was often alone because Mom was away, as he said, for work. He said that he was often beaten and punished. I often spent the night in the toilet on the street. Mom told him that he was an adult and could take care of himself," the woman added.
She learned from her grandson that children who enter the community "take an oath" — among other things, they cannot receive education and use medicines. In addition, minors are forced to fast, which significantly weakens their bodies.
The day before, it became known about the disappearance of two girls in St. Petersburg. Their father, in a conversation with Izvestia, stated that they were stolen by their mother, who fell into a totalitarian sect. According to him, one of the main locations of the destructive religious association is the village of Aybashi in the Staromainsky district of the Ulyanovsk region. Currently, the man is engaged in depriving the ex-wife of parental rights through the court.
The grandmother of the missing Marina and Irina declared sectarian ideas of the former daughter-in-law. According to her, at first she tried to lure her ex-husband to the sect: in letters addressed to him, she described her life, which was more like the conditions of detention in a prison camp.
On the same day, two missing sisters, Marina, 18, and Irina, 11, contacted their mother's house, who allegedly lured them to the Russian Orthodox Church — Tsarist Empire sect. The girl, reading out the theses written out in advance on a piece of paper, stated that according to her religious beliefs, she does not use documents. Investigators organized a check after the disappearance of a mother and her two daughters in St. Petersburg because of the sect.
