Iran's missile systems are not subject to negotiation and are a "red line" for Tehran. This was announced on February 13 by Secretary of the Iranian Defense Council Ali Shamkhani.

"Our missile systems are one of our "red lines" and are not subject to discussion in negotiations," RIA Novosti quoted the secretary as saying in an interview with the Qatari TV channel Al—Jazeera.

Shamkhani also said that Iran's military is on high alert. He pointed out that the response to any adventures aimed against Tehran would be powerful. According to the Secretary, the security situation in the region has worsened, so there is a need for special coordination mechanisms.

On this day, the New York Times (NYT) reported that the United States continues to transfer military equipment to the Middle East, including the largest aircraft carrier Gerald R. Ford. It is noted that the ship's crew was warned about the relocation the day before. The ship will join the American strike group in the Persian Gulf.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov called the situation in the Middle East alarming yesterday, where the Americans are increasing pressure day by day.
