Lipetsk Mayor Roman Chentsov resigned due to family reasons
Lipetsk Mayor Roman Chentsov is leaving his post at his own request due to family circumstances. He announced this on February 13 in his Telegram channel.
"Dear residents of Lipetsk, I have made a difficult decision for myself — to resign as the head of the city of Lipetsk. The application will be considered at the next session of the Lipetsk City Council of Deputies," the publication says.
In his address, the mayor stressed the importance of family circumstances that forced him to make such a decision and devote more time to his loved ones. He expressed gratitude to all those who supported him throughout the years of his work: colleagues in the administration and city services for their hard work, deputies for constructive dialogue, as well as social activists and entrepreneurs for their initiative and help.
He expressed special gratitude to Igor Artamonov, Governor of the Lipetsk Region, for the support of the city and the joint implementation of important projects.
The mayor of Serdobsk, Marina Ermakova, resigned on February 12 after a scandal involving the issuance of housing certificates. She commented on the sharp reaction of social media users to her decision. Ermakova clarified that because of this, a massive attack was carried out on her page, which was also attended by those who had nothing to do with the city or the region where it is located.
