GAC company has revealed the capacity of the S7 crossover for Russia

GAC has revealed the characteristics and equipment of the new S7 crossover, which will go on sale in Russia in early March. According to the company's press service, the sequential hybrid power plant consists of a 1.5-liter gasoline turbo generator with a capacity of 156 hp and electric motors with a capacity of 340 hp.

Acceleration of the GAC S7 from zero to 100 km/h takes 6.7 seconds. The total range of the car reaches 867 km (NEDC). The crossover can travel 153 km exclusively on electric power. The vehicle tax is charged on the total 30-minute power of both electric motors, equal to 122 hp. The battery is capable of charging from 30% to 80% in 18 minutes.

The company noted that with access to the charging infrastructure, the hybrid can be operated without fuel costs. At the same time, the gasoline engine is designed to use the Ai-92. The power plant has three operating modes — electricity priority, "intelligent mode" with artificial intelligence to balance power and power reserve, as well as the engine priority mode.

The car is equipped with a suspension with FSD shock absorbers with progressive stiffness adjustment depending on the oscillation frequency, which is designed to suppress vibrations and ensure a balance between smoothness and controllability. The crossover will be available in eight body colors and three interior trim options.

On February 9, GAC announced the acceptance of pre-orders for the new S7 crossover. The starting price will be 5.25 million rubles, including special offers. In China, the model is available in 392 and 501 hp versions.
