Summary of the special operation in Ukraine for the week

A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. In response to the terrorist attacks by Ukraine on civilian targets in Russia, the Russian Armed Forces carried out massive and six group strikes, which affected enterprises of the military industry of Ukraine, energy, fuel and transport infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, warehouses of military-technical equipment and rocket and artillery weapons, military airfields, production sites, storage and launch of attack unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as temporary locations for Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries.

As a result of the active offensive actions of the units of the North group of forces, the settlements of Chugunovka, Kharkiv region, and Sidorovka, Sumy region, were liberated. Formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were also defeated. The enemy lost more than 1,425 people, six armored combat vehicles, 81 vehicles, 12 field artillery guns, a Grad multiple rocket launcher and a Czech-made Vampire multiple rocket launcher. Two electronic warfare stations were destroyed, as well as 45 ammunition and materiel depots.

As a result of decisive actions, the military personnel of the Zapad group of forces liberated the village of Glushkovka in the Kharkiv region. The security brigade of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other formations of the Kiev regime were also hit. The enemy's losses amounted to over 1,130 soldiers, a tank, eight armored combat vehicles, 106 vehicles and 10 field artillery pieces. 30 ammunition and materiel depots were destroyed.

The southern group of troops improved the position along the front line and defeated the manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 925 military personnel, two tanks, including a Leopard tank made in Germany, and 12 armored combat vehicles. 71 vehicles, 15 artillery pieces, eight ammunition depots, fuel and materiel were destroyed.

The Center group of forces took more advantageous positions and lines, and also defeated the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its area of responsibility. During the week, enemy losses in this area amounted to over 1,895 militants, five tanks, including two Leopard tanks made in Germany, 29 armored combat vehicles, 53 vehicles and nine field artillery guns.

Units of the Vostok group of forces advanced into the depth of the enemy's defenses and liberated the village of Zaliznichnoye, Zaporizhia region. In total, the enemy lost more than 2,830 soldiers, a tank, 57 armored combat vehicles, 90 vehicles and eight artillery pieces in the area of responsibility of the Vostok group of forces.

Over the past week, units of the Dnepr group of forces defeated the manpower and equipment of two mechanized mountain assault brigades and a brigade of unmanned systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The enemy lost up to 280 people, four armored combat vehicles, 65 vehicles, nine artillery pieces, eight electronic warfare stations, as well as 11 ammunition and materiel depots.

Five Flamingo long-range cruise missiles, 28 guided aerial bombs, 39 US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, four Neptune long-range guided missiles and 1,243 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by air defense systems.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 670 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 113957 unmanned aerial vehicles, 650 anti-aircraft missile systems, 27647 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1664 multiple rocket launchers, 33257 field artillery guns and mortars, 54266 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
