Representatives of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation have planned to make changes to the timing of the introduction of spiritual and moral culture in schools. From September 1, 2026, it will be introduced only in grades 5. This was confirmed on February 13 by documents published on the website of the federal portal of draft regulatory legal acts.

"The study of DNCR is being introduced in stages. Since the 2026/2027 academic year, DNCR has been taught in the fifth grade, and since the 2027/2028 academic year, DNCR has been taught in the fifth, sixth, and seventh grades," the text of the draft order says.
