When receiving several scholarships at different universities, it is important to look at the regulations on each of them. If the provision prohibits receiving payments from other universities, criminal liability may be threatened for this. Lawyer Yevgeny Krivtsun told Izvestia about this on February 13.

Earlier, a student from three universities in Moscow told on social media how she found a way to receive several scholarships at once. The girl also compiled a detailed guide to this scheme, in which she figured out how to enroll in a number of universities and receive the highest scholarships. She even gave a list of hundreds of universities with the highest student benefits.

According to the girl, in 2025, she enrolled in two universities and received about 150 thousand rubles for six months of "training" in them, practically not appearing at universities and not being at the session. This year, she plans to "expand" and enroll in other universities. The student noted that she took advantage of the fact that university admissions committees do not collect original certificates for enrollment, which made it possible to implement such a "scheme".

"Here we must proceed from the stipend itself. If this very provision of the scholarship stipulates that the scholarship awarded deprives the student of the right to receive another scholarship, then, of course, without informing her that she is receiving a scholarship somewhere else, she actually commits, depending on the amount, up to a criminal offense," said Krivtsun.

At the same time, he noted that in practice it is indeed possible that one student can be the recipient of several scholarships.
