In the Altai Territory, 11 children were hospitalized with signs of viral intestinal infection from a rehabilitation center in Pervomaisky district. This was reported on February 13 in the press service of the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region.
"11 children with signs of viral intestinal infection were hospitalized from the regional center for children and adolescents with disabilities in Pervomaisky district," the department's Telegram channel says.
According to preliminary data, on the afternoon of February 12, pupils of the regional center for children and adolescents with disabilities felt unwell. The minors were taken to a medical facility for the necessary assistance.
A criminal case has been opened into the incident under Part 1 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Negligence"). Investigators conducted an inspection of the scene, and forensic examinations were appointed.
The causes and circumstances of the incident are currently being established, and the condition of the children is being clarified.
An outbreak of acute intestinal infection occurred at a school in the Nevsky district of St. Petersburg, as a result of which 96 people were injured. As specified on February 11, cases of infection were detected between February 4 and February 11.
