Lukashenko arrived at the training ground to check the combat readiness of the Belarusian Armed Forces

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has arrived at the 227th training ground of the North-Western Operational Command to check the combat readiness of the country's Armed Forces. This was reported on February 13 by the telegram channel Pool One, which is close to the press service of the head of state.

It is known that the visit of the head of state to the Borisovsky district was not planned in advance. Lukashenko made the decision early in the morning and asked Alexander Volfovich, Secretary of State of the Security Council, to warn Viktor Khrenin, the country's defense minister, about it.

On the spot, the Secretary of State informed Lukashenko that the republic's army had proved its combat capability during the inspection. A large-scale inspection of the country's armed Forces started in Belarus on January 16.

"Lukashenko keeps the inspection under personal control and regularly hears reports from the Secretary of State of the Security Council," the BelTA news agency said.

The focus is on the confrontation with the EU, the development of allied relations with Russia and the dialogue with the United States.

Earlier, on February 10, Lukashenko instructed the country to establish its own production of running ammunition by the end of 2026. He pointed out that it is necessary to resolve the issue of providing the army with ammunition, in particular, grenade launchers. The Head of State warned that the execution of this order must be completed on time.

On January 28, Volfovich also reported to Lukashenko on the progress of a large-scale check of the combat readiness of the country's armed Forces. The Head of the Republic paid special attention to the conditions of accommodation and provision of personnel in difficult weather conditions, as well as the adaptation of combat experience of modern conflicts in wooded and swampy areas.
