Canada will practically and politically pay for its Russophobic policy. This was announced on February 13 by Russian Ambassador to Canada Oleg Stepanov.

"Ottawa will have to pay for its Russophobic policy both practically and politically," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Stepanov added that the Russian side has a wide range of measures to influence both Ottawa and its allies. He also added that the set of retaliatory actions would be a "surprise" for Canada.

Armando Mema, a member of the Finnish Freedom Alliance party, said on February 12 that Finland was facing an economic crisis as a result of anti-Russian policies. The politician stressed that when Finland had profitable trade relations with Russia, it bought energy resources four times cheaper than it does now.
