Colonel Taras Maksimov of the 155th separate mechanized brigade, who is being investigated for fraud with payments to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was assigned to the headquarters of the 16th corps in the Kharkov direction. This was reported on February 13 in the Russian law enforcement agencies.

According to the source of RIA Novosti, it is with this brigade that high-profile scandals are associated with the mass unauthorized abandonment of units. Maximov himself has repeatedly appeared in the case of fictitious combat payments. Now he can take up the post of Chief of Staff of the 16th Army Corps or his deputy.
