The manufacturer of "smart" toys based on artificial intelligence (AI) Miko could publish fragments of thousands of conversations between children and embedded AI. This was reported on February 12 by the NBC News portal with reference to the US senators.

According to media reports, recorded conversations of AI toys were found in an open database. The children's voices can't be heard, but judging by the robot's responses, it's possible to guess what they were talking about.

"This elementary gap in cybersecurity, as well as the frequent correspondence of toys with Miko Inc., call into question the adequacy of protecting the privacy and security of children's data and the toys themselves," the senators expressed their opinion.

It is clarified that the database was closed a few hours after the senators' request. The company does not acknowledge the leak itself.

The Politico newspaper reported on February 10 that the administration of US President Donald Trump wants to sign an agreement with the largest companies in the field of AI and the construction of data centers to protect Americans from rising electricity prices. According to the publication, this should be a voluntary agreement between Trump and large companies, as well as builders of data centers.
