Tatiana Pozdnyakova, chief specialist of the Meteonosti news agency, warned that icy rains are expected in Moscow at the end of the week, fraught with heavy ice.

In conversation with aif.ru On Thursday, February 12, she noted that precipitation and possible ice are expected on Friday and Saturday. According to her, freezing rain can lead to precipitation sticking to cooled surfaces — wires, trees and buildings. At the same time, the specialist clarified that the ice is likely to be short-lived, since positive temperatures are forecast during these days.

Pozdnyakova also added that immediately after the icy rains, a decrease in temperature and the return of frost are possible.
