The Investigative Committee (IC) will check information about possible violations when issuing a housing certificate to families with a migration history in Serdobsk, Penza region. This was announced by the press service of the department on February 12 in the Telegram channel.

"The Internet has reported public disagreement with the administration's provision of two housing certificates to migrant families in the city of Serdobsk, Penza region. Despite the fact that local residents in need of better housing conditions have been waiting in line for a long time, a decision has been made in favor of families with a migration history," the report says.

A procedural check has now been organized.

At the same time, as Izvestia found out, the head of the family who received the apartment is a citizen of the Russian Federation — he received citizenship in 2022. The man has a permanent residence permit in the Penza region, but works in Moscow. Housing certificates were received by "two of his wives," one of whom he is officially married to.

❗️On February 7, it was reported that the Russian government allocated more than 10 billion rubles in 2026 to provide housing certificates to citizens. The certificates will allow you to obtain housing in settlements with developed social infrastructure or improve living conditions in the cities of your current residence.
