Portuguese dating chat developer fined 6 million rubles in Russia
According to the Rusprofile counterparty verification service, the Moscow Arbitration Court fined the Portuguese game and application developer Bad Kitty's Dad 6 million rubles for repeated violations of Russian legislation on personal data. The protocol was drawn up by the Roskomnadzor Office for the Central Federal District in August 2025.
"Bad Kitty's Dad <...> repeatedly allowed the collection of personal data, including through the Internet information and telecommunications network, without fulfilling the obligation provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation in the field of personal data to ensure the recording, systematization, accumulation, storage, clarification (updating, modification) or extraction of personal data of citizens of the Russian Federation using databases located on the territory of the Russian Federation," the court said in its decision.

Ome.TV (video chat for communicating with random interlocutors), during registration in which users must provide an email address, name, age, photo and information from social media profiles. The company was first fined in 2024. She was given 60 days to pay the new fine after the decree came into force. The decision may still be appealed to the Ninth Arbitration Court of Appeal.
The day before, the Tagansky District Court of Moscow fined the online cinemas Kinopoisk and Ivi for LGBT propaganda (the movement is recognized as extremist and banned in Russia).
