In Italy, a 57-year-old man accidentally threw a box of 20 gold bars into the trash. This was reported on February 12 by RMF24 radio station.

"The incident occurred in Torre Lapillo, Lecce province. A 57-year—old local resident accidentally threw a tin box with 20 gold bars into a trash can," the article says.

It is specified that for many years he bought gold and accumulated a fortune of 120 thousand euros. It was only the next day that the Italian noticed that he had thrown away the gold and contacted the police. Law enforcement officers have established that the garbage has already been taken to a landfill in Ugento. A search was launched there, during which a box of ingots was found.

The newspaper Le Figaro reported in December last year that five packages of jewelry were stolen in Paris, including a sapphire worth 150,000 euros. It was noted that an armed criminal was waiting for couriers, hiding behind a van near a jewelry store. After the delivery men parked their car, he attacked them, threatening them with a pistol, and struck one of them on the head.
