The sisters who disappeared in St. Petersburg on their way to school a few days ago may be with members of the totalitarian sect "Russian Orthodox Church - Tsarist Empire." The girls' father told Izvestia about this on February 12.

"Their mother stole them to the sect. <...> She went to live there a year and a half ago," the man said.

He added that he was trying to deprive his ex-wife of parental rights through the court. According to the girls' father, one of the main locations of the destructive religious association is the village of Aybashi in the Staromainsky district of the Ulyanovsk region.

On the day of the disappearance, on February 9, the girls left the house without documents, their whereabouts are still unknown. Law enforcement officers and volunteers are involved in the search for 18-year-old and 11-year-old schoolgirls.

On January 23, the Prosecutor's Office of the Krasnoyarsk Territory began checking and investigating the criminal case of the abduction of a 14-year-old teenager from the cottage village of Serebryany Bor. A criminal case was opened into the incident under clauses "a", "d" and "z" of Part 2 of Article 126 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Abduction of a known minor by a group of persons for mercenary motives"). Later, the teenager was found in a rented apartment with his girlfriend.

A participant in a fraudulent scheme involving the theft of 3 million rubles and the abduction of a teenager was detained on January 24. According to the investigation, she, acting as part of a group of fraudsters, came to the teenager's place of residence, where she opened safes with him and stole money in the amount of 3 million rubles. Later, a teenager from Krasnoyarsk, who was previously considered abducted, was recognized as a victim in cases of kidnapping and fraud. The accomplice was arrested on January 25.
