Nordwind Airlines will make five outbound flights from Cuba from February 12 to February 21. This was announced on February 12 by the carrier's press service.

"Starting from February 12, the carrier has scheduled flights to ensure the transportation of passengers (with the exception of citizens of the Republic of Cuba) currently in Cuba," the airline said in a statement on its website.

It is noted that due to problems with the possibility of refueling aircraft in Cuba, Nordwind will suspend flights to the island. In addition, on February 14, a flight will be operated for the Cubans to transport them home.

The day before, it was reported that Rossiya and Nordwind Airlines were forced to make adjustments to the flight program to the island's airports due to difficulties with refueling aircraft in Cuba.

The Efe news agency reported on February 9 that the Cuban authorities, amid the escalating energy crisis, notified air carriers of an imminent shortage of aviation fuel. It was noted that the fuel reserves for aircraft in the country may run out within a day, in some international airports — within a month.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
