The opinion of European NATO countries on the Ukrainian conflict is now represented by the position of the "Eurotroika", as the younger members of the European Union (EU) have a "shaky" attitude to the situation. Alexey Chepa, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Relations, expressed this opinion on Thursday, February 12.

Earlier in the day, Rodion Miroshnik, the Russian Foreign Ministry's ambassador-at-large for crimes committed by the Kiev regime, said that the conflict in Ukraine was at a turning point, influenced by the issue of Kiev's support from the West and the split within the EU.

"Everything that is said and done today is with great regard for the older uncles. First of all, the United States of America, and then the Eurotroika. They are very afraid that they will be left out," Chepa said in a conversation with Lenta.Ru .

According to the parliamentarian, smaller EU countries risk losing support and being among the most affected, and they are currently taking such a position in order to have time to "jump over" while the situation is rocking.

Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky announced on February 11 that he would not come to Moscow for negotiations on the settlement of the conflict, IA Regnum reports. At the same time, he expressed readiness to support the proposals of the United States and meet at any other venues — in the United States, Europe or neutral states.

On the same day, Christopher Wanner, a correspondent for the German TV channel Die Welt, noted that Kiev was deliberately delaying the process of a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict in the hope of surviving the cold weather. Life.Ru .

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, in turn, on February 6 announced the continuation of work on Ukraine after talks in Abu Dhabi. He added that the representatives of the delegations had been working in the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for two days.
