Moskalkova called Padva's lawyer a scientist from God
Honored Lawyer of Russia Genrikh Padva had no academic degrees, but he was a scientist from God. This belief was shared by the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, Tatiana Moskalkova, in an interview with Izvestia on February 12.
"He was a great scientist, a scientist from God, from heaven. He will forever remain in our memory, and we must definitely continue this scientific and human school of respect for dignity, respect for human rights and freedoms," Moskalkova stressed.
She noted that Padva loved life and people. He never raised his voice against opponents, and his principles were respected by both investigators and prosecutors.
"He was a moral man, because it is impossible to realize oneself in the legal profession without building a scale of values based on justice, mercy and humanism," the Ombudsman concluded.
Padva's death became known on the same day. His clients included businessman Alisher Usmanov, former Russian Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov, as well as actor Vladislav Galkin and many other famous personalities. The lawyer's wife, in turn, said that the cause of Padva's death was a stroke. Later it became known that the farewell to Padva would take place on February 12 at 12:00 Moscow time in the funeral hall at Marshal Timoshenko St., 25.
Lawyer Alexander Hofstein called Padva a knight of the bar and a guardian angel. He added that Padva sought to convey to his students the principle of service to society through every legal case, which became the motto of his professional activity.
