The Russian Foreign Ministry told about Kiev's support for terrorists in Africa
The Ukrainian authorities are training terrorists in Africa, as well as supplying them with weapons and drones, and the security situation there is gradually deteriorating, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on February 12.
"Let's return to the Kiev regime: it supplies terrorists on the African continent with weapons, including drones, and trains militants. The most active link with Ukrainian terrorists is working in Mali," the diplomat said at a briefing.
She added that the African continent is suffering from the fact that the West is uncontrollably pumping Western weapons into Ukraine. From there, it gets to militants all over Africa through black markets, Zakharova pointed out.
"We condemn the persistent attempts by a number of countries to restore their lost colonial influence in Africa," she stressed.
In September last year, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukraine had agreed to sell its surplus weapons produced for the country's Armed Forces to a number of African states. He stressed that all transactions will be strictly controlled, and the funds received will be used to provide the Ukrainian army.
