"The Eastern Economic Forum will be held from September 1-4, 2026 in Vladivostok. It has become the main platform for coordinating the development of the region and attracting investments, where management decisions and mechanisms are formed, which are then translated into specific projects – from priority development territories and master plans of cities to new enterprises, infrastructure and social facilities. The development of the Far East has been identified by the President of Russia as a national priority, and over the past 10 years the forum has been contributing to the achievement of high levels of development in the macroregion," said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee for the Preparation and Holding of the WEF.

The Far Eastern Federal District shows steady economic growth, significantly exceeding the national average in terms of key development indicators.

"According to a number of indicators, the Far East is ahead of the average Russian dynamics: the growth rate of investments in fixed assets has doubled since 2014, surpassing the Russian average by 1.5 times. Industrial production increased 1.3 times. The annual volume of mining increased by 1.4 times, housing commissioning by 1.5 times, and construction by 2.3 times. The increase in supply in the housing market has affected the cost per square meter. For the first time in April 2024, the price per meter in the Far East equaled the Russian average, and is now 21% lower. 5.6 trillion rubles have actually been invested in government-supported projects in the Far East. More than a thousand enterprises have been put into operation. This dynamic in the region's development is the result of comprehensive work, in which the Eastern Economic Forum plays an important role," said Yuri Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in the Far Eastern Federal District, Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the Preparation and Holding of the WEF.

The proposals for the development of the macroregion, which are presented annually at the Forum, lead to the development of strategic solutions. Thus, following the results of the work of the WEF-2025, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin gave instructions, the implementation of which will ensure the further development of the Far East.

The Forum promotes an effective dialogue on the renewal of Far Eastern cities. Today, the implementation of master plans, which include more than 1,000 facilities and events, is in an active stage. The master plan combines the economic, demographic, infrastructural and spatial aspects of urban development in a single logic with a focus on creating new points of attraction. This work is based on the requests of residents and business plans, together with the authorities of the regions and municipalities.

The WEF has been held since 2015 in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. During this time, the forum has become a leading international platform for creating and strengthening ties between the Russian and global investment communities, providing a comprehensive expert assessment of the economic potential of the Russian Far East, and presenting its investment opportunities and business conditions in advanced development territories.
