The Russian Foreign Ministry pointed to the US understanding of the attractiveness of the Russian market

The United States understands the attractiveness of the Russian market, but their actions cast doubt on the sincerity of Washington's intentions. This was announced on February 12 by Dmitry Birichevsky, Director of the Department of Economic Cooperation at the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"We see that Americans understand the attractiveness of the Russian market. And the fact that there is a track of negotiations between [RDIF CEO] Kirill Dmitriev and American businesses, among others, speaks volumes. That they understand the value of such interaction," RIA Novosti quoted Birichevsky as saying.

He noted that, despite this understanding, the United States constantly threatens third countries with duties so that they do not cooperate with Russia. According to him, after such actions, "doubts arise about the sincerity of the approaches of many of our Western, including American colleagues."

The suspension of the issuance of immigration visas to Russians does not affect this process.
