The United States is ready to compromise with Iran on the issue of uranium enrichment, as excessive persistence in all matters could lead to war in the region. This was announced on February 12 by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

"Washington has made it clear that it is ready to be flexible on the key requirement that Iran stop all uranium enrichment. This condition has long been a critical obstacle to the deal, as Iran insists on its right to enrich uranium as a party to the nuclear Non—Proliferation Treaty," the Financial Times newspaper quoted Fidan as saying.

He also noted that if the United States "insists on solving all issues simultaneously," adhering to maximalist demands to abandon the development of the missile program and support its allies, then "the decision on the nuclear program will not move forward, the result may be another war in the region."

Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, said on February 11 that the United States had probably abandoned the military scenario against Tehran. According to him, Israel is deliberately trying to oppose the negotiations between the Iranian and American sides, and is also looking for reasons for war. He added that such measures pose a danger to the regions.
