A captured counterintelligence officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) said on February 12 that employees of the country's Security Service (SBU) tortured him for helping a woman in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).

"Through a volunteer, we took an old woman from Maryinka to Kharkov. She had heart problems.<...> I had sketches already, I was writing a book. It was laid out in the 19th year. And [the SBU] got hooked precisely when he wrote this [about saving a pensioner]. The SBU came to me and took me away," the prisoner told TASS.
