Britain's Permanent Representative to NATO, Angus Lapsley, settled his Italian girlfriend, with whom he maintained a romantic relationship, in an official residence in Brussels. This was reported on February 11 by the British newspaper The Times, citing sources.

According to the newspaper, Lapsley's relationship was considered "inappropriate" in diplomatic circles.

It is noted that the relationship between the British permanent representative and his assistant has become so important that information about them has reached the Deputy Supreme Commander of the NATO Combined Forces in Europe, Admiral Keith Blount. However, after reviewing the alliance's internal rules, Lapsley was not found to have violated any rules.

A source close to the defense ministry said that Lapsley's relationship was an "imaginary secret" in Brussels.

"They didn't try to hide their relationship. Angus used the residence as his own, and the woman came there for Christmas and summer parties," the source told the publication.

The Sun newspaper reported on July 17 that the CEO of the Astronomer IT company was accidentally spotted in the arms of his HR employee during a Coldplay concert in Boston. It was noted that his wife and children were waiting for him at home. The footage shows Byron hugging Cabot, but after the "kissing" camera was pointed at them, he tries to hide behind the barrier.
