In Moscow, a teacher bought an apartment from a pensioner and was left homeless
Moscow resident Nino Tsitlidze purchased an apartment according to the "scheme" of the performer Larisa Dolina from a pensioner in the fall of 2022, but in the end she was left without housing and without money. This was reported on February 11 by the online publication Komsomolskaya Pravda.
It is specified that the court proceedings in the case are still ongoing. The owner of the property said after the sale of the apartment that she did it under pressure from scammers. The court sided with her, and the customer tried to challenge the decision through the Court of Cassation, which returned the case for reconsideration to the city court.
As a result of the retrial, the deal was declared invalid, but the pensioner was ordered to return the money for the apartment. However, the former owner claims that she gave all the funds to the scammers and declared herself bankrupt.
"Now I'm without an apartment and without money again. And with a 30-year mortgage taken out to buy this very apartment. I've been paying it for several years now," said Citlidze.
Director of Customer Service and Collection at Dom Bank.Russian Federation" Kirill Malinovsky on December 15 pointed to the strong influence of the "Dolinoy scheme" on the secondary housing market. He noted that due to the lack of an opportunity to completely eliminate the risks associated with fraud, most buyers refuse to conclude a deal or wait.
