The United States and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela have agreed to work together on an energy cooperation program. This was announced on February 11 by the authorized Venezuelan President Delcy Rodriguez.

"The main, first point is to create a partnership that will last for a long time. In fact, the first point is the formation of the energy agenda, which will become the basis for future cooperation," she said after a meeting with the head of the US Department of Energy Chris Wright.

On February 1, Rodriguez announced that Venezuela had exported the first batch of liquefied petroleum gas. She stressed that she celebrates this event together with the working class of the country. In addition, Rodriguez believes that this achievement will benefit the Venezuelan people. The scope of delivery is not specified in the publication.

On January 29, the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the US Treasury (OFAC) published a license under which American legal entities are allowed to conduct transactions with Venezuelan oil. This license prohibits any transactions involving individuals located in Russia, Iran, the DPRK and the Republic of Cuba. In addition, transactions involving legal entities located in Venezuela or the United States, owned or controlled by individuals from China, are prohibited.
