On February 12, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky's statement about the impossibility of declaring elections a mockery of the Ukrainian people.

"Zelensky stated that no elections can be announced on February 24. <...> The mockery of the gromodians continues," she wrote on the Telegram channel.
