Golender, a journalist who left the USSR, told about her first impression of Israel
On February 8, Dorit Golender, a well-known journalist and former Israeli ambassador to Russia, shared her memories of her move to Israel after living in the USSR.
Golender, who left the Soviet Union with her parents in her youth, noted that Israeli supermarkets and jewelry stores were particularly impressed. According to her, in the USSR it was impossible to get the gold ring that her mother wanted to give her, but in Israel it was all there.
The former ambassador also stressed that Israel had left her with unforgettable impressions.
"The country was small, cohesive, and the apartments were not locked," she said in an interview with the Sheinkin40 project posted on her YouTube channel.
The wife of politician Leonid Gozman (recognized in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent, listed as a terrorist and extremist by Rosfinmonitoring) Marina Egorova left Russia for Israel on November 5. At the same time, Egorova's lawyer Mikhail Biryukov confirmed her move. Gozman also wrote on social media that his wife's move to Israel was carried out "completely legally."
