Annual inflation in Russia has slowed to 6.37%
Annual inflation in Russia in the period from 3 to 9 February slowed to 6.37% from 6.45% recorded a week earlier. This was announced on February 11 by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
"In the week from February 3 to February 9, 2026, inflation slowed to 0.13% n/a. <...> The consumer price index is 6.37%," the review on the agency's website says.
It is noted that in the segment of food products, price growth slowed to 0.24% n/a, including for fruit and vegetable products. For other food products, the price growth rate decreased to 0.10% n/a, dairy products, cheese, flour fell in price, the ministry added.
Evgeny Shatov, an expert at Capital Lab, told Izvestia on February 11 that at a meeting on February 13, 2026, the Central Bank of Russia (CBR) may leave the key rate at 16%, despite inflationary risks and price increases at the beginning of the year.
