Dmitriev pointed to Starmer's failures in politics and sanctions
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer constantly fails in his activities — he fails in everything, including sanctions. This was announced on February 11 by Kirill Dmitriev, special representative of Russian President Vladimir Putin and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).
"Starmer is failing in everything, including sanctions," he wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
The head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund advised the British prime Minister not to act as his instincts tell him, but on the contrary. Dmitriev commented accordingly on a chart published by American economist Steve Hunk comparing the economic conditions of Britain and the Russian Federation. The figure shows that the Russian economy is ahead of the British one.
On February 8, Dmitriev, commenting on the resignation of Morgan McSweeney, Starmer's chief of staff, amid the scandal surrounding the appointment of Peter Mandelson, a friend of financier Jeffrey Epstein, as ambassador to the United States, suggested that this could be followed by the departure of the Prime minister himself.
On the same day, Bloomberg reported on Starmer's possible resignation. One of the assistants to the minister of the Starmer cabinet said: the chances that the British prime minister will hold out until the end of the week are 50-50. According to a YouGov study, over 60% of Britons expressed the opinion that the current British Prime Minister will step down before the end of the year.
