Experts named the most popular used pickups

Japanese pickups remain market leaders, but Chinese new products are actively occupying their niche and are also gaining demand. This was told to Izvestia by Avito Auto experts, who analyzed ads for the sale of used cars in December 2025 – January 2026.

According to their data, Mitsubishi (the share of total interest was 14.4%), Toyota (11.5%), Great Wall (6%), Ford (5.5%) and Volkswagen (5.2%) became the most popular used pickups in winter. Among the most sought-after models were the Mitsubishi L200, Toyota Hilux, Volkswagen Amarok, Dodge Ram and Nissan Navara.

In general, the demand for pickups in the secondary market increased slightly over the year (+1%), and the Chinese JAC products turned out to be the leader in demand dynamics (+52.2%). Mitsubishi is in second place, Lada is in third place (+22.8%).

Among the specific models, the demand for newcomers to the Russian pickup truck market grew the most intensively: Great Wall Poer (+93%), JAC T6 (+84.8%), Changan Hunter Plus (+30.8%). A noticeable increase was also recorded for the Nissan NP300 (+29.4%), Mitsubishi L200 (+23.3%), Lada 2329 (+23.1%).

In winter, the average price of used pickups was 1.4 million rubles.

On February 10, Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, said that last year, the market for new pickups in Russia decreased by 25% compared to 2024 (to 22 thousand units). Among the leading brands, sales fell the most at Great Wall - by 48%. Great Wall can be considered an outsider, Tselikov noted.
