Musk announced the work of the future city on the Moon from solar energy
The City on the Moon project, which is under development and which SpaceX developers want to implement in the next ten years, will be powered by solar energy. This was announced on February 11 by the head of the company, American entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk.
"[nuclear] reactors are not needed — only solar energy and batteries," Musk said on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
The entrepreneur announced his intention to build cities on the Moon and Mars on February 8. He pointed out that it is possible to create a self-developing city on the Moon in less than 10 years, whereas it will take more than 20 years for it to appear on Mars. At the same time, it will be possible to fly to the Earth's satellite allegedly every 10 days, and to the neighboring planet — every 26 months.
