On February 12, a street photo exhibition "Legendary Mosconcert: Yesterday. Today. Tomorrow", dedicated to the main concert organization of Moscow and Russia. The photo exhibition was prepared by the Moscow Directorate of Mass Events together with the Moscow Concert, subordinate institutions of the Moscow Department of Culture.
This year, the Mosconcert turns 95 years old. The almost century-old history of the oldest concert organization covers different periods of the country's life. The exhibition will feature archival and modern photographs of iconic Mosconcert artists who embody service to the state, art and people. Every concert performance is a tribute to Russian values, their preservation and enhancement.
"This exhibition is not just an anniversary project, but an opportunity to reflect on the path that Mosconcert has taken and to show its significance for the country's culture. We want the audience to see in the photos not only the artists, but also the ideals that they celebrate with their work," said Aka Marzayeva, Deputy head of the Moscow Department of Culture.
The idea of the exhibition is to preserve and enhance the cultural memory of the country and the values revered in it: life, historical memory and the continuity of generations, citizenship, service to the Fatherland, mercy, moral ideals, the priority of the spiritual over the material, mutual respect, humanism, creativity, justice and much more.
The exhibition features unique footage of performances by participants of the Moscow Concert from different years – Lidia Ruslanova, Leonid Utesov, Claudia Shulzhenko, Maya Kristalinskaya, Nadezhda Babkina, Nadezhda Kadysheva, Gennady Khazanov, Alexander Malinin, Sergey Zhilin and other artists.
The project will cover all areas of the Mosconcert's work, including the heroic work of the cultural brigades in the SVO area these days.
