The Russian-Mongolian Forum was held in Moscow at the site of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, which was supported by the Roscongress Foundation. The Forum brought together representatives of government authorities, business circles and the expert community of the two countries, becoming a platform for discussing topical issues of bilateral economic cooperation.

During the opening ceremony of the forum, Sergey Katyrin, Head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, noted the steady growth of business activity between Russia and Mongolia and stressed the importance of further developing direct dialogue between the businesses of the two countries.

"We see a high potential for Russian-Mongolian cooperation and are ready to continue creating conditions for expanding business contacts. Over the past two years, the Russian regional Chambers of Commerce and Industry have held more than 60 different business events in the Mongolian direction. In general, Mongolia's business is actively operating in 22 regions of our country today, from the Siberian Federal District to the Central and Eastern Federal Districts. Almost all districts are represented in our joint initiatives. Work is actively continuing within the framework of the joint trade and economic forum of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Mongolia and China, as well as at regional forums, including the first forum of the regions of Russia and Mongolia in the Irkutsk region. We invite representatives of the Mongolian business and expert community to participate in key international events of the Roscongress Foundation ecosystem, primarily the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum and the Eastern Economic Forum," emphasized Sergey Katyrin.

He also noted the importance of forming business initiatives to improve the regulatory framework, remove barriers and implement new investment projects, including transport infrastructure projects and the construction of a new branch of the Power of Siberia‑2 gas pipeline, which will allow the development of related industries within Russia, China and Mongolia.

The event was held as part of a visit to the Russian Federation by a Mongolian delegation led by Chairman of the Great State Hural of Mongolia, Nyam-Osoryn Uchral, at the invitation of Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin.

Altangunyi Zhargalan, Director of the Mongolian Economic Forum, also arrived in Moscow. During the negotiations, the parties agreed to develop a business, humanitarian and economic dialogue, as well as to hold joint sessions and events on the sidelines of the Mongolian Economic Forum, the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum and the Eastern Economic Forum.
