A train hit a pensioner in the Krasnoyarsk Territory

A 92-year-old pedestrian was killed by a train in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. An elderly man was walking close to the tracks.

The Siberian Transport Police told KrasnoyarskMedia news agency that the incident occurred on the afternoon of February 11 on the stretch between Zeledeyevo and Kemchug stations.

According to preliminary data, the pensioner was walking along the tracks near the Badalozhny bus stop. He did not hear the approaching train because of the oncoming train. The driver applied emergency braking, but he failed to avoid a collision with a human train. As a result, the pedestrian received fatal injuries.

Earlier, on February 10, it was reported that after a collision between a car and a train, one person was killed, two were injured in the Tselinsky district of the Rostov region. The driver, driving a Kia Magentis car, collided with an electric train while passing a railway crossing at a forbidding traffic light. Two people were also injured and were hospitalized.
