Dobrynin embarks on an adventure for the sake of family happiness in the teaser of the comedy "Grandfather Fomich"

GKS–MEDIA and the NMG Film Distribution film company (part of the National Media Group holding) presented a teaser trailer for the new comedy film "Grandfather Fomich". A funny and touching story for the whole family will appear on big screens on July 23, 2026.

What can you do for your loved ones? Fomich is an elderly man who, in his youth, made mistakes and lost the trust of loving, dear people — his wife, son and little daughter. After 30 years, he decides to take a desperate step — to lie about a terminal illness in order to bring all his children and grandchildren back together under one roof. Now the relatives will have to deal with the conflicts of the past and become a real family again.

The role of the adventurous pensioner was embodied on the screen by the Honored Artist of Russia Nikolai Dobrynin. Nikita Kologrivy played the image of Grandfather Fomich from the past. Famous actors Andrey Merzlikin and Ekaterina Volkova became the son and daughter of Grandfather Fomich. The roles of the younger family members include Gleb Kalyuzhny, Arina Shelobanova, Kristina Korbut, Alexander Novikov and blogger Anya Pokrov. Artyom Mikhalkov, Yulia Sules, Sergey Stepin and others also took part in the film.

Nikolai Dobrynin, Honored Artist of Russia: "Fomich is a very diverse character. He's good and sincere. With a sense of humor. His family knows that he is a man who will always come to the rescue. I guess you could say that it was easy for me to fit into his image, because in many ways we are similar. The main thing here is to play with your heart, be kind and open."

Grigory Sukhov, general producer and director: "For me, the most humane thing about Fomich, his main virtue, is his boundless love for children and grandchildren; his sincere desire and desire to correct the mistakes of the past. But in order to correct a mistake, you first need to admit it. A person must overcome his vices, pride, and step on his own ego's throat in order to look at the situation differently, draw conclusions, and be the first to meet it halfway. And of course, Konstantin Fomich's wit and cunning arouse genuine admiration."

The directors of the upcoming comedy are Garik Petrosyan and Grigory Sukhov. Grigory also served as the general producer of the film and worked on the script of the picture together with Olga Dorn. The performer of one of the main roles, Gleb Kalyuzhny, is responsible for the creative production.
