Russia does not threaten anyone and does not impose its position. This was announced on February 11 by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

"Unlike those who, according to [Russian President] Vladimir Vladimirovich [Putin], consider it permissible by right of the strong to dictate their will, teach life and give orders, we do not threaten anyone, we do not impose our point of view on anyone, just the opposite," the Russian Foreign Minister stressed.

He noted that Russian diplomacy consciously promotes honest, equal and mutually beneficial partnership with all those who are willing to cooperate on the same principles. Lavrov also noted that Russia's foreign policy course is predictable, long-term and not determined by electoral cycles or personal preferences.

"Threats, blackmail, pressure, no matter from whom they come, will not affect him," the minister concluded.

The day before, Putin said that the constructive role of Russian diplomacy is in demand in the face of increasing turbulence in the world. He also noted that in order to reliably ensure the national security of the Russian Federation, it is necessary to use all the capabilities and tools of Russian diplomacy.
