A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The units of the North group of Forces have improved their tactical situation. The formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were defeated in Sumy and Kharkiv regions. The enemy lost over 215 people, 15 vehicles, a Czech-made Vampire multiple rocket launcher and a field artillery cannon. Four warehouses of material assets were destroyed.

The military personnel of the Zapad group of forces occupied more advantageous lines and positions, and also hit the manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a number of settlements of the Kharkiv region. The enemy lost up to 160 soldiers, three US-made HMMWV armored vehicles, 20 vehicles, three artillery pieces and four ammunition depots.

The southern group of troops improved the situation along the front line and hit the Ukrainian formations in the settlements of the DPR. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 140 militants, two Cossack armored fighting vehicles, 14 vehicles and two field artillery guns.

The Center group of troops has taken more advantageous positions and frontiers. The Ukrainian Armed Forces units were defeated, including a unit of the Azov special forces brigade (recognized in Russia as a terrorist organization). Up to 315 people, two armored personnel carriers, four armored vehicles, seven pickup trucks and two field artillery guns were destroyed.

The units of the Vostok group of forces continue to advance into the depth of the enemy's defenses. Ukrainian units in the Zaporizhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions were also hit. The enemy lost over 380 soldiers, eight armored combat vehicles, 16 vehicles and two artillery pieces.

The military personnel of the Dnepr group of forces defeated the manpower and equipment of the mountain assault brigade and the brigade of unmanned systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporizhia and Kherson regions. The enemy's losses included up to 45 Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters, two armored combat vehicles, seven vehicles, five artillery pieces, including a 155 mm M777 howitzer made in the United States, two electronic warfare stations and an ammunition depot.

Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated energy and transport infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 141 areas.

Air defense systems shot down 14 guided aerial bombs, three US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and 458 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 670 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 113526 unmanned aerial vehicles, 650 anti-aircraft missile systems, 27596 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1662 multiple rocket launchers, 33201 field artillery and mortars, 54092 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
