The legislative measures introduced in the Russian Federation against the Telegram messenger are mandatory. This was announced on February 11 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"There is a law that needs to be followed. And Roskomnadzor is responsible for ensuring that companies that provide services in this area comply with the relevant legislation," the Russian president's spokesman said at a briefing.
