In 2025, the network's customers purchased over 4 million indoor plants. 58% of sales are for ornamental and flowering plants, 30% for ornamental and deciduous, 12% for succulents. This was reported to Izvestia on February 11 by analysts at Leman PRO.

According to their estimates, last year Russians became more interested in ornamental and deciduous plants. Compared to 2024, the demand for them increased by 18% and accounted for 30% of indoor plant sales.

The growing interest is explained by the ease of care, which is important in today's fast pace of life. The leaders included aglaonema (+513%), araucaria (+560%) and Alocasia (+89%). There was also a noticeable increase in demand for palm plants (+34%) and large-sized indoor plants (+48%).

Ornamental and flowering plants account for a significant share of the company's sales (58%). The phalaenopsis orchid remains the most popular plant, accounting for 34% of the group's sales. Also in the top are indoor roses (17%), spathiphyllum (10%) and anthuriums (7%).

About 12% of the demand is for succulents. Cacti are usually an impulsive purchase, they are often bought spontaneously: for a desktop, as a gift, or as the first plant in a new apartment. The most popular types of cacti and succulents are zamiokulkas (+23%), Schlumberger (+17%), sansevieria (+12%).

When buying a plant, customers often supplement their purchase with products for transplanting and care. Most often, a pot and soil are purchased together with the plant. Other products in demand include fertilizers, soil improvers (perlite, vermiculite, expanded clay), specialized mixtures for different plant species, such as sand for cacti, as well as tools and sprayers. There is a growing interest in practical solutions, including pots with an automatic watering system that provide plants with the necessary care in the prolonged absence of their owners.

Indoor plants are the final stage of home renovation or renovation. They are valued for their environmental benefits, their ability to purify the air, and the soothing effects of green. At the same time, sales of indoor plants have a pronounced seasonality: the peak of activity falls at the end of the summer season — the end of summer and the beginning of autumn, as well as in February and March — the period of plant transplantation and the March 8 holiday.

"In response to demand, we strive to make the process of buying indoor plants easier and more convenient for customers. For example, the transplant service, launched in the spring of 2024, showed an 18—fold increase in demand over the year, and this confirms that customers want not only to purchase plants, but also to receive ready-made, comfortable solutions," Oksana Blagaya, head of the Garden category at Lemana PRO, explained to Izvestia.

The expert also named three main trends for 2026: the growing demand for large-sized indoor plants, the popularity of variegated species with unique colors, and interest in amaryllis and other bulbous plants.

On January 28, the press service of the DOM Lenta construction hypermarket chain reported that taking into account the climatic characteristics of the region is of paramount importance when planning early distillation of seedlings. It was noted that broccoli, peppers and tomatoes can be planted in February.
