In 2026, more than 100 social facilities will be built in Moscow, said the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin. New kindergartens, schools, clinics, and sports complexes will appear in the city, its head said in his channel in the MAX.

In particular, Moscow has begun implementing projects for the construction of modern urban hospitals — new medical complexes at the Institute of Emergency Medicine. Sklifosovsky State Library named after Demikhov and GKB No. 67 named after Vorokhobov, Sobyanin reminded. Also in 2026, the construction of new buildings of the Moscow City Oncological Hospital No. 62 in Skolkovo will be completed.

"The city pays special attention to strict compliance with the obligations of investors for the construction of social facilities, primarily educational ones," stressed the Mayor of Moscow. He said that 66% of schools and kindergartens were commissioned last year at the expense of extra-budgetary funds. Their share is expected to grow to 77% in 2026.

In total, 93 social infrastructure facilities were built in Moscow in 2025, including 13 healthcare facilities. These include the children's multidisciplinary complex of the St. Vladimir Children's City Clinical Hospital and the year-round Large Ski Jump on Vorobyovy Gory.

In addition, almost 80 buildings of medical institutions were reconstructed in the capital last year. Plans for 2026-2028 include 52 more healthcare facilities, Sobyanin previously reported.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
