Patrushev noted the importance of educational projects about the nature of Russia

The implementation of educational projects in the field of the Presidential Nature Foundation is of strategic importance for the sustainable development of Russia and society. This was announced on February 11 by Dmitry Patrushev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, at a meeting of the Coordinating Committee for the Support of Environmental and Environmental Protection Projects.

"The Fund's activities really provide significant support to the industry. As you know, the amount of federal funds allocated for grants amounts to 1 billion rubles annually. But the number of environmental protection projects, of course, needs to be scaled up. To do this, we are working on increasing the extra-budgetary component. I would like to note that business responds vividly to proposals for cooperation and voluntarily allocates funds to support projects. Since December 2025, they began to flow into the Fund. I take this opportunity to thank the business community for this. And, as it was noted, if desired, business representatives who assist in promoting initiatives will be included in the Board of Trustees," the Deputy Prime Minister said.

Patrushev added that the Board of Trustees will actively cooperate with the Fund and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.

On December 9, Patrushev discussed with the winners of the first grant competition of the Presidential Nature Foundation the progress of their developments. The Foundation was established in 2025 by order of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Its main task is the implementation of environmental and conservation projects. The total amount of the grant fund amounted to 1 billion rubles.

The Deputy Prime Minister suggested that the Fund accumulate questions from grantees in order to form instructions to federal agencies for working out and providing methodological support for projects.
