Global oil prices have risen amid uncertainty surrounding the negotiation process between the United States and Iran over Tehran's nuclear program. This was reported by the Reuters news agency on February 11.

Brent crude futures rose to $69.35 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures reached $64.5 per barrel.

"Oil continues its upward trend as negotiations between the United States and Iran continue, but remain fragile," London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) analysts said.

According to the newspaper, traders are also waiting for information on oil reserves in the United States from the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

On February 9, Vice President of the Islamic Republic, head of the Atomic Energy Organization of the country (OEAI) Mohammad Eslami announced a reduction in the level of uranium enrichment if the United States lifts all sanctions against Tehran. It was noted that Iran conducted an inspection of all uranium enrichment centers that were not affected by the attacks.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said on January 7 that in the event of an attack by the American side on Iran, Tehran could retaliate against US military bases in the region. According to him, such a strike would not be considered an attack on neighboring states, as the target would be US facilities with American personnel.
