Kiev and its supporters are talking about security guarantees not with Russia's participation, but against it — this provides for the "automatic outbreak of war against the Russian Federation." This was stated on Wednesday, February 11, by Sergey Lavrov in an interview for the Empathy Manuchi Internet project.

The Russian Foreign Minister recalled that in April 2022 in Istanbul, the Ukrainians themselves presented a draft in which there were security guarantees, suggesting that the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), including Russia and China, would act as guarantors.

"Germany was also mentioned there (for obvious reasons, it is one of the most active sponsors of the Kiev regime, which they are proud of). Apparently, their zealous Nazi past has "kicked in", and [the president of Ukraine] Vladimir Zelensky is a "wonderful" character to try to continue Nazi traditions in the modern era. They wanted to include Turkey in these security guarantees," Lavrov said.

According to him, all decisions of the security guarantors would be made by consensus — this is what the Ukrainian side proposed.

"We agreed with that. But the West forbade Zelensky to sign it, although the document had already been initialed," the Russian Foreign minister added.

Now, according to the diplomat, the Kiev regime says it will not recognize anything de jure, but de facto it is ready to stop on the understanding that the Europeans will give reinforced concrete security guarantees ratified by their parliaments and deploy troops.

"The Financial Times wrote that these guarantees provide for the automatic outbreak of war against the Russian Federation by all forces of the NATO contingents that will be stationed there, with the direct support of the United States. And allegedly, any incident that is considered unacceptable will serve as a trigger for such a war. And it doesn't even make sense to talk about the ability of Zelensky and his clowns to create provocations," Lavrov concluded.

On February 10, the Russian Foreign Minister said that Russia would demand a specific answer from the West, to whom and for what "security guarantees" were given in Ukraine. He added that the President of the European Commission (EC), Ursula von der Leyen, says every day that it is necessary to "stand with Ukraine" because she defends "European values."
