The assault units of the Center group of forces told the details of the capture of militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) during active hostilities, some of whom laid down their weapons and surrendered on their own, in the Red Army special operation area (SVO). The relevant footage was distributed by the Russian Ministry of Defense on February 11.

"They understand that if contact has already begun, then they have no options. They don't have a lift, they have FPVS (FPV drones. — Ed.), maviki (Mavic quadcopter. — Ed.) ours are working. <...> The pick-up is minimal and they understand that they will not last long without provisions. <...> If they are not aggressive, there is no aggression on our part either," said Denis Agafonov, an attack aircraft commander of the Center group of forces.

The ministry said that experienced assault groups immediately understand when the enemy intends to surrender, offering to take advantage of this chance. Russian military personnel are loyal to the captured Ukrainians.

"We got into position. When they collided head-on, the opponent was confused. Until they came to their senses, we took advantage of it — we just peacefully offered them to surrender. <...> We asked them about the security. They say, "We were just abandoned. Our officers abandoned us. We are meat to them." They immediately surrender," added Andrei Shavrin, an attack aircraft commander of the Center group of forces.

At the time of the outbreak of active hostilities of the Russian assault units, the Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters already wanted to surrender due to security problems.

"They threw Baboy Yaga (drones. — Ed.) a few bottles of water, but not always everything survived, of course. A stick-two sticks of sausage, two loaves could be, four chocolates, sugar, coffee, tea. Since we were eating and we were hungry, it was enough for one or two days. But they didn't throw every day. We used to sit hungry for five days. When our drone took off, yours shot it down with an FPV drone," the prisoner said about supply problems in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The captured Ukrainian Armed Forces militant was surprised by the attitude of the Russian army towards him, as they did not insult him, provided medical assistance, fed and watered him, and then took him to a safe area.

On February 10, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that units of the unmanned systems of the 49th Combined Arms army of the Dnepr group of forces destroyed the AFU drone control center on the right bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson region. Even in adverse weather conditions, during enemy camouflage and the operation of enemy electronic warfare (electronic warfare) systems, the crews of FPV attack drones operate continuously.
