Footage from the scene of a car explosion in Fryazino, in which a man was injured, was published by Izvestia on February 11.

As noted by Izvestia correspondent Elena Khmura, the driver of the car that blew up at the railway crossing did not reach the highway just a few meters away, where there is usually heavy traffic.

Pavel Ishenkov, a local resident, said that this is a fairly lively place. According to him, traffic jams often form on this section when electric trains pass.

The death toll from the incident has increased to 12 people.

On February 10, the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia in the Moscow region reported an explosion inside a car. According to the Izvestia source, the explosion occurred in a Nissan Patrol car. The Investigative Committee also reported that the victim received a shrapnel wound to his shin and was hospitalized.
