Starting from March 1 of this year, the rules of air travel in Russia will change for families with children, according to which they will be guaranteed neighboring seats. This was announced on February 10 by Pavel Fedyaev, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Transport and Transport Infrastructure Development.

"Starting from March 1, families with children under 12 will be guaranteed neighboring places without additional charges in Russia. This follows from the federal air regulations updated by the order of the Ministry of Transport," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

In addition, Fedyaev added that starting in March, the transportation of hand luggage will also be simplified. According to the new rules, it will be possible to take a baby carriage on board, even if the child is not flying.
