The European Commission (EC) plans to blacklist Russian performer Timati (Timur Yunusov) and Director General of the Mariupol Drama Theater, producer Igor Solonin, as part of the 20th package of sanctions. This was reported on February 10 by the EUobserver portal with reference to relevant documents.

"They also include singer Timur Yunusov, who performed in Crimea, and theater producer Igor Solonin," the publication says.

In addition, 27 more people were included in the list of "unwanted guests". Among them were Mikhail Piotrovsky, Director of the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, and the President of the International Chess Federation (FIDE). Arkady Dvorkovich.

On February 9, American journalist Thomas Fasey expressed dissatisfaction with the statement by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sibiga about the ban on entry to the countries of the European Union (EU) for Russians who participated in a special military operation (SVO). Earlier, Sibiga expressed the opinion that the EU should take such measures against Russian citizens "for the sake of their safety."
